Resistance to temperature

Thin coating PTFE

When applied in thin coating (from 3µ up to 20µ) some fluorinated resins stand temperature between 180°C up to 280°C. PTFE, for short periods, may be used up to 350°C. Its wight loss turns around 0.0006% per hour, its mechanical properties are much lower around 350° C.

For high temperature we propose MoS² (molybdenum bisulfite for 450°C continuous) or graphite for 1000°C. These are used mainly as dry lubricants.
