Wear resistance
Fluorinated coatings may wear out when used to reduce friction or as non-stick coatings.
When used on mechanisms with good precision, no corner effect and adequate surface roughness and hardness of the substrate and the counterpart, they have satisfactory life with no wear.
In other applications we may use hard undercoat with higher thicknesses to coat for example hoppers for sticking products, melted plastics, dough, rubber, paints. Coated parts are sent back to us when the coating needs to be replaced after a convenient life.
